Solveni Law Firm acts on behalf of both Italian and foreign clients such as protection and indemnity clubs, hull and cargo insurers, ship owners, charterers, importers and exporters, freight forwarders, ship independent correspondents and ship agents. In particular, Solveni Law Firm is specialized in the recovery of maritime claims through the arrest of vessels in Italy and in providing legal assistance to shipping operators at Italian ports and judicially before Italian civil courts and in arbitration.

Solveni Law Firm is currently run by Marco Solveni together with  Federico Solveni and Barbara Dinoia Solveni.

Marco Solveni graduated in law form the University of Milan and is qualified as Italian lawyer ("Avvocato") since 1995. Marco is admitted to appear before the Italian Supreme Court. Marco also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in English Maritime Law from the London Metropolitan University and the Lloyd's Maritime Academy.

Federico Solveni graduated in law from the University of Milan and is qualified as Italian lawyer ("Avvocato") since 2012.

Barbara Dinoia graduated in law from the University of Milan and is qualified as Italian lawyer ("Avvocato") since 2017.

We inform you that your personal data disclosed to and acquired by Studio Legale Solveni will be processed according to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). In this respect, please note the following:

a) Controller – The processing controller is Studio Legale Solveni e Associati, Venezia, San Polo 3005, tel +39 041 8306858, email mail@solveni.it.

b) Processing purpose – The processing purpose is exclusively the proper and exhaustive performance of the professional mandate, both concerning litigation and out-of-court matters, and the compliance with legal duties.

c) Processing procedure – The processing is carried out by means of paper and computer filing systems, including portable devices, and only as far as necessary to perform the above purposes. The processing is carried out by the controller and by parties expressly appointed by the controller according to the GDPR security provisions.

d) Processing legal basis – The processing is permitted in so far as necessary to perform the contract or a legal duty or if based on consent.

e) Processed data classes – The processing concerns common, sensitive and legal personal data, including data related to criminal convictions and offences.

fFailure to provide personal data consequences – With reference to personal data relating to the performance of the contract you entered into or related to the compliance with a legal duty, we inform you that failure to provide personal data prevents the formation or the prosecution of the contract.

gPersonal data storage – Your personal data will be stored for the period necessary to perform the professional mandate and  for the further period of eleven years form the termination of the professional mandate during which the lawyer is under storage legal duties.

h) Personal data disclosure – Your personal data may be disclosed, exclusively for the purposes stated above, to consultants, correspondents, counterparties and their lawyers, arbitrators, judicial or administrative authorities and generally to all those persons to whom the disclosure is necessary so as to duly perform the professional mandate and to comply with legal duties. Apart from the above cases, the personal data are not subject to disclosure.

i) Personal data sources – Your personal data are provided by you or acquired by public rolls, lists and registers and other public databases.

l) Absence of automated decision-making, including profiling – The firm does not undertake any form of automated decision-making, including profiling.

mCross-border processing – Your personal data may, for the purposes stated above, be transferred to EU Member States or to third countries, according to the GDPR.

- To request and obtain from the controller your personal data in a standard format for computer devices, also for the purpose of providing such personal data to another controller

- To object in any time to the processing of personal data in the event of special circumstances

- To withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal

- To lodge a complaint before a supervisory authority, including the Italian “Autorità Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali”
